I started Project Life half way through the year in 2012 and very quickly fell head over heels with the process. I love, love, love the simplicity of this memory keeping method. I love that it is all laid out for me and all I have to do is slip in photos and add a bit of journaling.
I love that my family will have these memories for always....the every day memories of how we lived our lives that year. There was no question in my mind that I would continue Project Life in 2013. Some things will stay the same and some will change:
- I will continue to use Becky Higgin's 12x12 album with corresponding Design A Photo Pocket Pages.

-Last year I used the Turquoise Core Kit and I liked it, but didn't love it. I'm excited about the new Seafoam Core Kit and am currently waiting for mine to be delivered in the next couple of days.

-I will be sharing my pages weekly on the blog. I didn't do that last year because I started so late in the year.

-I want to simplify even more. I will still occasionally use washi tape, stamps, and foam stickers to embellish my pages, but I want to have a more cohesive and less scattered look to my album.

I am excited to get started on this year's album. I inherited my love of memory keeping from my mom who always felt that family photos once a year and scrapbooks of every milestone in our lives was important. It's important to me too. Those family photos are some of the only things we have remaining of my dad and if anything ever happened to Andy or I, I would want my kids to have those important family photos and scrapbook albums of our time together as well.
So cheers to Project Life 2013! I'm hoping to share my title page with you next week!
What an awesome way to keep a family history!
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun and so easy!! You need to come over and see my new core kit for 2013. It just came today and I am so excited. It is dang cute!!
DeleteI'm hoping someone will enjoy my albums someday as well. I'm using the seafoam edition this year too. The core kit just arrived in the mail today with the paper. Still waiting for the album to be in stock.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for the album as well. My core kit arrived today. I am stoked because it is so cute. I love Elise's style and the kit she designed is so perfect for us. It just really fits our personality. I don't even think I'll add that many embellishments because the cards really speak for themselves.
DeleteThis is amazing. How do you print your photos? Do you do it yourself at home or go somewhere??? I miss albums. Everything is digital now. :( I should make a month collage and throw them in an album at the end of the year. Thanks for the inspiration. Oh and I look forward to seeing them monthly on the blog.
ReplyDeleteLast year I tried printing at home. I thought it would be nice not to have to run to the store, but really it was just a pain and expensive. It's much easier for me to upload my pictures to Walgreens or Walmart and then pick them up when I'm doing my shopping each week. Plus I'm not spending a ton of money on special paper and printer ink.
