This word is constantly on my mind and I love how it drives me and convinces me to tackle things daily. It's so much easier to tell myself to "just begin," than to worry that I have this huge project that needs to get done. It will get done, a goal will get accomplished, but only if I begin. That's the first step.
So this month I will...
Begin reorganizing the entire house - drawer by drawer, closet by closet (yikes)
Begin a sewing project
Begin to find a new weekly routine
I chose three basic things that I want to start on this month. I've been wanting to do a major organizational overhaul on the house this year. We are very guilty of stuffing things wherever we can find space.
I've got a couple of sewing projects that I'm deciding between. I'm debating whether to make something just for fun or to make something that we need. Perhaps some new pillows for the couch or a maxi dress for this summer.
Lastly, I need to revamp my daily schedule. I'm a list maker and a scheduler. I use Google Calendar daily to schedule in everything I want to accomplish each day. I get very caught up in routine and when my routine gets flipped a bit, it can take me time to get myself back into the groove. This month, I'd like to figure out a new routine that will work for me.
Again, it may sound like a lot to plan to reorganize the entire house- but my one little word is the key- Begin, Just Begin. That is all. I don't have to make it all magically happen by the end of the month, but I do have to make a conscious effort to get going on it. So here we go!
Sounds like a great plan!!! I need to organize all the photos on my computer!!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I've been itching to organize our whole house too. The clutter is driving me nuts! But with all my obligations I never have enough time. So last week I decided to devote every Friday to organizing one area. It's doable and things are actually being accomplished, even if it is slowly.
ReplyDeleteI overwhelming for me too. I don't know how we manage to hoard so much stuff! I can't believe what a difference it's made to just take it one drawer at a time. Little by little it'll get there.
